FOR EXTRUSION DIE PLATES TYPE 'LTF'

The cleaning of the extrusion dies, which is normally carried out using a high-pressure washer, is absolutely necessary as it is unpleasant for the operators involved.

This operation is normally performed in a special room and operators need to wear extremely uncomfortable protective clothing.

The degree of cleanliness of the dies is left to the personal judgment of the operator, who often tends to minimize the time to devote to such an uncomfortable operation.

The AUTOMATIC WASHING MACHINE FOR EXTRUSION DIE PLATES TYPE 'LTF' has been designed and developed to make washing operations fully and flawlessly automated, therefore leading to several advantages:  

  • It ensures flawless operation even during the washing of dies with several small holes; 

  • The intervention of a specialized operator is no longer needed: any operator can work autonomously. For example, the operator in charge of the extruder can autonomously wash the die plate, after dismounting it for format changeover. 

  • Since it is possible to choose from different washing programs, die plates do not need to be dismounted from the diffuser or refined manually after washing.

When the electrical panel is turned on, the machine is ready for operation and automatically loads the water from the water supply network until it reaches the correct level.

The die plates are loaded when the operator presses the request button on the touch screen panel.

Once the die plates are loaded, the operator chooses the washing program by means of a selector and The cycle will start as soon as the machine cover lid is closed.

WASHING

The high pressure pump starts (7) and the dirty items inside the washing machine begin to rotate exposing their entire surface to the nozzles (5) that move alternately in a semicircular path of motion, thereby washing every part with different impact angles. The impact of the 180 bar water jet allows to remove any particle, even the driest ones, and is effective also on holes whose diameters are as small as 0.8 mm.

In order to reduce consumptions, the whole washing cycle takes place with recycled water. The particles removed during cleaning are retained by both a drawer filter (10) and an in-line cartridge filter (12).

Both filters need to be cleaned periodically when a signal is displayed on the operator panel.

RINSING

At the end of the washing cycle (1 <3 minutes) the machine starts a rinse cycle using clean water from the water supply network. During this cycle, the washing water is partially replaced and cooled by rinse water.

The duration of rinse cycle can be programmed using the operator panel. During this cycle it is possible to add a certain amount of disinfectant to the rinse water by means of a suitable accessory.

DRIPPING

The overall washing process ends after the third cycle: after the pump stops, compressed air is introduced into the circuit, flows through the nozzles and dries the die plates, which are immediately ready for use.

The machine is designed to carry out 2 types of washing programs, 'Normal' or 'intensive' which will be selected by the operator. 

All operating parameters can be programmed separately by means of a 7 '' color HMI touch screen panel.

THE MACHINE IS DESIGNED PREPARED FOR WASHING ANY TYPE OF DIE PLATES.

The user will only need to supply a DWG drawing of the items to be washed: by simply replacing few interchangeable components, the machines can be easily adapted to any kind of die plate.
